Samurai Babies!!

Alberto's sister, Daniella, lives in Japan with her husband and daughter, Sayuri. Many of you have seen our babies sporting the "Anpanman" bibs and toys from Japan. Here are the latest additions to their Japanese attire. They are cute little baby Kimonos.

Poor Allie

So this past week myself and the babies all got colds, we also gave it to gramma (again)! This cold has been no where near as bad as our first colds, but with two miserable infants it seems worse than it is at times. Anyhow, Allie gets much sicker than the rest of us. The poor girl gets so stuffed up and you can just see in her eyes that she feels terrible, but inspite of all that both babies manage to be playful and happy. Here are some pictures of Allie this last week after she just couldn't take anymore and crashed.

A Poem for all the Moms!

This year for my first official Mother's Day, my mom gave me a part of a poem she found about being a mom. I loved it so much because it is exactly how I feel and obviously how other moms feel too. Anyway, I have wanted to share it with my friends so here is some of it. If you are not a mom yet, once you are, I am sure you will agree. It is funny how at the end of a long day, I am so excited to put the babies to bed and have a nice quiet evening, but once they have been asleep for about an hour, I start to miss them and then can't wait for the next day to come! Sorry I don't know the author of the poem:

Before I was a mom- I slept as late as I wanted, I cleaned my house each day, I never tripped over toys...

Before I was a mom-I had never been puked on, pooped on, spit-up on, chewed on, or peed on... I had complete control of my mind and thoughts, I never looked into teary eyes and cried, I never got so gloriously happy over a simple grin...

Before I was a mom- I never sat up late hours watching sleeping babies, I never held a baby just because I didn't want to put it down, I never felt my heart break into a million pieces because I couldn't stop the hurt, I never knew something so small could affect my life so much...

Before I was a mom- I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby, I didn't know something so small could make me feel so important and so needed..

Before I was a mom- I never got up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes just to make sure all was okay (and everyone was breathing), I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a mom, I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a mom.
